Hand   Puppetry

Intermittent mini project I

Introduction

In traditional hand puppetry, each finger joint gets mapped to body parts of a puppet. As a result, any hand movement gets translated into the puppet's body movement and can be animated as realistically as possible. In this mini project, a rigged 3D model can be easily animated using finger joint information acquired through Leap Motion controller. It is meant to be an easier and quicker way of animating 3D models which are extremely difficult to animate using conventional 3D animation software.
